TLDR: I came across an amazing Canva alternative called Projector. Here’s my Projector review listing some of the aspects that caught my attention.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Canva. I’ve been using Canva for many years.
It’s a platform that has changed the world of graphic design for good.
It has given even average Joe like me the power to create quality visual assets.
However, as the platform became increasingly popular I noticed one thing.
All the designs have become, well, Canva like; which is not a bad thing but also sometimes leaves you craving for something different.
And in this quest to create something different I discovered Projector, a brand new visual communication design platform.
I’ve been using Projector for the last two weeks. You might have even noticed a couple of content pieces that I have shared made using Projector.
So, here’s my Projector review listing some of the aspects I liked about the platform.
What is Projector?
Put simply Projector is a design platform where you can build engaging visual communication assets.
It is easy enough for a beginner to get started with but at the same time has enough features to engage even seasoned graphic designers.
Using Projector you can create social media posts, presentations, print designs, GIFs, videos, and more.
The ease of use is something I’ll rate highly in my Projector review.
Who should use Projector?
Well, the short answer is anybody can use Projector.
If you are someone who is interested in creating engaging visual assets for your projects, Projector is for you.
You can be a Brand Marketer, Social Media Marketer, Event Producer, Product Marketer, an Educator, or even a student.
I can assure you that using Projector you can transform your work from boring to awesome!
What can you make using Projector?
Your imagination is the limit!
Projector is a full-fledged graphic design platform.
It blends graphic design with collaboration and takes the process of creation to a whole new level.
It offers a video-game quality graphics engine that smoothly handles video, GIFs, images, vector graphics, PDFs, drawings, shapes, and text.
Projector also comes with a ton of predesigned templates. It has pre-built templates for social posts, presentations, print designs, GIFs, videos, and more.
You can use these templates as it is or customize them to suit your requirements.
You can even use a blank template to create your design from scratch.
What are some of the standout features of Projector?
Well, as I mentioned at the beginning of the post, Projector is a full-fledged graphic design platform and it has numerous features.
However, here are some of the features that caught my attention the most.
Real-time collaboration
Say goodbye to attachments and back and forth emails.
Projector enables you to work collaboratively with your team so that you can spend more time in creating and less in explaining changes.
Special media effects
Bring your designs to life by using shapes, icons, and text with a dynamic video, and transition between moving videos using smooth, highly designed effects.
It even has the “Pen Tool” inbuilt, so that you can do Photoshop level image manipulation if required.
Templates that inspire
Another strong feature of Projector is the unique template library.
These templates are crafted in a professional design studio exclusively for Projector.
So in a world where everything looks similar, these templates can make your designs stand apart.
Unlimited creative catalog
Projector has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the design industry.
You can bring your ideas to life with photography from Unsplash, video from Shutterstock, icons from the Noun Project, and GIFs and stickers from Giphy.
That’s right!
When you use Projector you get access to premium stock libraries like Shutterstock and Noun Project.
That means you save a ton of time otherwise spent on searching for the right images, downloading them, resizing them, and finally adding them to your design.
With Projector the whole process is reduced to a couple of clicks.
Talk about efficiency!
Conclusion
So, what’s the verdict of my Projector review?
Gone are the days when you could afford to wait for weeks for a designer to deliver on a project.
As modern marketers, we need visuals to turn our ideas into engaging stories. We need lots of them and we need them fast.
So if you are someone looking for a tool that is easy enough for a newbie and at the same time has enough features to support you as you grow; Projector is the tool for you.
